You know me, I am one of those guys who looks forward to baseball all year round; however, we come to play, but also come for the camaraderie that the league affords its players (Maariv anyone?). Yet how many of us know what the other does for a living? Aside from knowing that Yanky hates high pitches and Yoily pops up every time he is at the plate, we tend to Schmooze with each other b'inyonei baseball and don't even know what our own teammates do.

 

Sports unites and bonds players to the extent that I feel that if there were a good financial opportunity or need, the players would respond quicker.

 

We are in the middle of a recession (in case you haven't noticed). I think it would be helpful if everyone knew what the other did for parnossa- perhaps someone is in need of a job, a product or a service? Yes, we are all part of klal yisroel, but also part of a wonderful baseball league that one of its purposes may be to help out another Jew with parnosa.

 

So I will start things off, and this may serve as an invitation to let RJSL players know what you do.
